Mowing

Mowing the lawn is a very important part of proper yard care. There are a host of benefits that are associated with mowing the lawn that make it well worth it in the end.

Mowing the lawn serves a two-fold purpose. First, the cosmetic benefits can be noticed immediately. A properly cut lawn is something that is very pleasant to behold. Mowing the lawn on a regular basis helps keep the grass short, neat and even. This also gives your lawn a very well manicured and orderly appearance. Many people consider it to be a matter of pride when it comes to the way that their yard looks; so tending to it in this fashion brings satisfaction.

The other benefits that come with mowing the lawn on a regular basis may not be as immediately obvious, but they are just as important. Mowing the lawn helps keep your lawn healthy and eliminate some of the pests from the grass at the same time. It also can ensure that various pieces of debris are picked up and are cleared every week; so that nothing really accumulates on the grass.

We provide lawn care services on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule from March-November. Prices vary based on lawn size.

Aerating

Lawn aeration constitutes two things: controlling lawn thatch and reducing soil compaction. Lawn thatch is a layer of dead organic tissue that can protect the lawn by moderating temperature and reducing evapotranspiration when it is a reasonable thickness, but too much thatch can limit soil oxygenation and reduce watering effectiveness. Soil compaction makes it difficult for grass to develop long roots and disturbs both natural rainwater and artificial

We provide an annual service in the Spring. Prices vary on Yard Size.

Fertilizing

Fertilizer is comprised of three major nutrients: nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium. Nitrogen makes grass plants grow and become greener; phosphorus stimulates root growth and seedling development, and potassium promotes disease and drought tolerance

The most common lime product used on lawns is ground limestone. When lawns are weedy, patchy in spots or turn yellow, it may be a sign that the pH balance of your yard is out of whack. One of the primary methods of correcting the problem is to add lime to your lawn to restore depleted nutrients and repair the damage. Liming a neglected lawn can eventually return your grass to a lush green oasis, although the positive effects may not happen overnight.

We provide a seasonal Fertilizer and Liming Package. This includes a Spring, Summer and Fall Fertilizer application and one Winter Liming application.
